You teach for an hour; the rest of the week decides whether it sticks. Put the vocabulary and grammar from today’s session into Duru and your student practises exactly that, out loud as well as on paper.
Whatever you already use
Your own notes, a page of a textbook, a slide deck, a pasted word list. It becomes a lesson in about a minute, and you can edit every word and pattern it extracted.
Homework you do not have to chase
Cards come back on their own schedule and the app asks for a few minutes, not an evening. There is no streak to guilt anybody with.
Practice that finds the weak spot
Your student’s mistakes are grouped by the habit rather than the word, and the words that keep catching them are worked back into new exercises and conversations — so the next lesson starts further on.
Speaking between sessions
A live voice tutor, bounded by what you have taught, so the talking between lessons reinforces yours instead of wandering off into vocabulary they have never seen.
One course per student, or one shared
Build a course for a single learner, or share one with everyone you teach at the same level. Access is a link you control.
Free to start, for both of you
Every account gets lessons and tutor time each month at no cost, and nobody pays per seat. A programme for teachers who bring a whole syllabus is being shaped now — tell us what you would need from it.
What it does not do yet
- No gradebook or attendance. Duru is practice between your lessons, not a school management system. It will not replace your LMS.
- No view of your students’ mistakes. Each learner sees what keeps catching them; there is no view of that across a class for you yet.
- No class accounts or bulk enrolment. Students create their own account and join a course with a link or a QR code. Fifty students is fifty scans, not a spreadsheet upload.
- You need the right to use the material. Uploading a textbook you own a licence for is your call to make; Duru will not make it for you.
